Canadian Shield and Canadian Shield 2 are on route to the Northern Museum of History for the 12th Annual Contemporary Art Exhibition. This year’s juried show is called Golden Reflections and is part of Kirkland Lake’s 100th Anniversary. The exhibition runs from April 5 to May 4, and will also feature a retrospective exhibition of the late Olympic Figure Skater and artist Toller Cranston.
For me, making art is like writing a story; it makes order out of chaos. It also underscores the importance that recording impressions and events have to our collective experience. We operate within stories in order to understand our world and our place in it.
